MY NEXT CHAPTER

Hello readers, a bit about me and why I do what I do. I live in Indianapolis, Indiana, with my partner of more than twenty years.  She has been my love, my muse and my steady ground through every storm. I also live with my doodles, Truffle and Roux, who sometimes ARE the storm. I earned a duel Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Journalism from Franklin College, a pairing that would shape the course of my life in ways I never could have predicted.

After life threw me a curve ball, I dusted myself off and decided to start the next chapter of my life. I wanted to begin using my previously dormant, creative side again and touch lives in a positive way, so I began to write my first book.

Why choose my stories?

Writing has been my passion since childhood, and for nearly a decade I’ve pursued it wholeheartedly. It remains the most rewarding and transformative journey of my life.

I truly want my writing to resonate with a broad audience, particularly within the LGBTQ community. I want to focus on creating strong, multidimensional female leads and moving beyond conventional romance to tell stories that are authentic, thought-provoking, and grounded in grit. Through complex characters and lived experiences, I aim to inspire readers of all ages and backgrounds to follow their hearts and embrace their true selves.

I feel it is paramount to include LGBTQ voices and themes into mainstream literature. Books and stories shape how we see the world and one another; when queer writers and characters stand alongside everyone else, it challenges silence, reduces stigma, and affirms that LGBTQ lives are part of the shared human experience and not just a niche. Books build empathy, offering readers insight into realities beyond their own while providing LGBTQ individuals the powerful validation of recognition. By elevating these voices, we create a richer, more truthful literary landscape. One where future generations can see themselves reflected in the story.

I want my books and stories to be a place where everyone feels welcome. So please join me in writing the next chapter.
